Summary Task- 

In scene 7, Lady Macbeth and her husband battle over the decision to kill Duncan. Using the "thought bubble" model, include what you think may be going in Lady Macbeth's head as she is arguing with her husband. Use a word document or other format to post a minimum of 5 "thought bubbles" to the class Padlet.

Read over these questions before you begin reading scenes 6 & 7. As you work through the rest of Act 1 jot down answers to these questions. 

 

  1. Compare the conversation that takes be place between Lady Macbeth and her husband in scene vii to scene v where Lady Macbeth asks that her female stature be taken away so that she may be better able to commit this dark deed of planning a murder.

  2. In scene vii we see Macbeth take a final stand against murdering Duncan. What are the factors that sway him take action?

  3. Consider the larger picture that scene vii shows. Go back to your pre-reading questions and reflect on your answers.  Has anything changed in your response?

  4. Who would you argue is to blame for Duncan’s impending death
