MOOC Culminating Task

Students would create their own 6 minute Powtoon video based on a theme covered in every act in the play.   When using a specific theme for the play, students would incorporate scenes from the play into their powtoon.  A sample video is posted above from the Act Three Summary Scenes.  Students would have the choice of themes discussed throughout the play or could choose a theme that has not been discussed in the MOOC. Students would post their Powtoon video into their weebly password-protected site.  

 

End-Goal:

This culminating task is created in a way that gives students choices on how they would like to create their video.   Furthermore, the culminating task is meant to be a fun activity that sums up students’ learning and can be posted onto their password-protected website. 

 

Success Criteria

• Incorporating scenes from the play into their powtoon

• Analyzing quotes from the play

• Making connections to the character’s roles throughout the play
