Deliberate on the below questions as you read through scene 3:

1. In scene v we see Lady Macbeth make the decision to force Macbeth’s hand and murder the king.  She makes reference to Macbeth being too “full o’ the milk of human kindness” to do what must be done. How does this compare this to what other characters have said in the play about Macbeth up to this point?

2. What does Lady Macbeth mean when she calls on the spirits to “unsex” her? What does this say about the contemporary culture of the play?
